Renal Advantage Completes Acquisition of Renalab

Brentwood, Tennessee (January 3, 2007)

Renal Advantage Inc., the fourth largest provider of dialysis services in the United States, today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of RenaLab from Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA). RenaLab is a Jackson, Mississippi-based independent clinical laboratory with administrative offices in Nashville, Tennessee. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Currently, RenaLab employs 94 individuals and is projected to perform 2.4 million lab procedures in 2007. In May 2006, when Renal Advantage signed a definitive agreement to manage and ultimately acquire RenaLab, substantially all of the employees of RenaLab joined Renal Advantage, and RenaLab began providing services to Renal Advantage?s then 73 facilities.

In commenting on the announcement, Michael D. Klein, Chief Executive Officer of Renal Advantage, said, ?We are very pleased to have completed this acquisition. Having managed RenaLab over the last eight months, we are more convinced than ever that the acquisition is an excellent fit for our company. We gain more control over data generation through owning our own laboratory, which enhances our ability to both monitor and deliver quality patient care. We are excited about the many additional opportunities that the completion of this transaction provides us, and we look forward to continuing to work with the highly trained and motivated professionals at RenaLab to further enhance and expand the services provided by the laboratory.
