RENAL ADVANTAGE INC. CERTIFIED AS PREFERRED EMPLOYER

Improves Quality of Employment Relationship and Quality of Patient Care

Brentwood, Tennessee (October 7, 2008) – Renal Advantage Inc. (RAI), the third largest for-profit provider of dialysis services in the United States, today announced that it has been awarded Preferred Employer Certification by The Work Institute, a Tennessee-based research firm with an international client base that helps companies substantially improve their businesses by enhancing the employer-employee relationship.

Michael D. Klein, Chief Executive Officer of Renal Advantage, said, “Since the Company’s beginning, our management team has acknowledged the critical role played by employees. So, very early in our existence, we set out to gather and understand the factors that employees identify as most contributing to their satisfaction and productivity. In 2006, we engaged The Work Institute to conduct an in-depth, self examination which established a baseline for employee satisfaction levels. Since that time, we have continued to work with our employees to measure our progress against that initial baseline and identify areas where we could improve.” Mr. Klein added, “This research has been a powerful management tool and has contributed to a reduction in employee turnover to the lowest rate in the dialysis industry. We are actively developing an employee-employer partnership that ultimately improves morale and fosters greater accountability. Clearly it is no accident that our patient satisfaction levels are at an alltime high as it is well documented that there is a direct correlation between employee satisfaction and quality of care delivered. We are honored to have received this award and recognition on behalf of our company and dedicated employees.”

Since the initial polling of all employees in 2006, RAI continues to survey approximately 50% of all employees every six months. The three primary areas of emphasis include:
• Quality of Supervisory Experience
• The Rating of Renal Advantage as an Employer
• Intent to Stay

The results of these semi-annual surveys help monitor employee satisfaction on an ongoing basis and provide management with the ability to initiate specific action plans to generate continuing improvement at the operational level.

Thomas Mahan, Chief Executive Officer of The Work Institute and Vanderbilt University Professor, said, “Certification as a Preferred Employer is a major accomplishment. Renal Advantage Inc. understands, values, and enthusiastically embraces the employee’s voice as a driver of employee satisfaction and recognizes the relationship between employee satisfaction and quality service to patients. It is exciting to work with RAI, a company that delivers such great service to employees and patients.”
